  My interest in textiles began at a very early age when I became fascinated by the way in which simple yarns could be transformed so dramatically from a ball of wool to a garment. My experience expanded over the years to include crochet and weaving and now my passion is felt making.
  The inspiration for my felt pieces comes from the colour, texture and remarkable quality of merino fleece and silk. I am constantly fascinated and inspired by the transformation of pure merino fleece into 3D vessels, wall hangings or garments and the wonderful effects that can be achieved by incorporating a range of natural fibres and manmade objects into my work. My recent work explores the possibility of incorporating fragments of printed text on paper into the felt.
