Biography

Over the last few years there has been a revival in the art of hand knitting.
My work includes a wide range of fashion garments and jewellery using a variety of techniques including knitting, weaving, crochet and more recently felt making.

I use wonderful hand dyed yarns and tapes creating some exciting contemporary designs which have become very popular. My use of felting techniques include wet and knitted felting with flat and sculptural felting techniques. I learnt the amazing art of feltmaking in Scotland and have attended many courses and workshops both in Scotland and London. I recently did a workshop on an alpaca farm, witnessing the shearing of the alpacas and subsequently making felt jewellery from their wonderful fleece.
 
I now have my own company and I am involved with knitting for galleries and craft fairs on a full time basis. I also take commissions for work, a variety of which can be viewed on the portfolio pages of this website.
